Also on neighboring Jekyll Island is The Georgia Sea Turtle Center, a hospital for ill and injured sea turtles. The Center features interactive exhibits and a pavilion with viewable sea turtle patients. Open year round, Tuesday through Sunday and Open Mondays March through November.

Music & Movies
On many Sunday evenings in Spring and Summer, live music performances at the lighthouse gazebo benefit The Coastal Georgia Historical Society and Golden Isles Arts and Humanities Association. Bring a chair, picnic and enjoy great music from the oceanfront lawn. All concerts begin at dusk around 7:00pm. St. Simons Island also has a 7-screen cinema. Call for movies and show times!

Explore the Island by Bike or Horseback
With miles of trails connecting the Island’s favorite spots, biking & horseback riding are two of the best ways to explore St. Simons. Newly-extended trails now connect bikers to the new Frederica Park on the Northern end of the Island. While the Stables at Frederica offer lessons for adults and children, beach rides, wooded rides and children’s lead arounds.

Putt, plunge, picnic and play at this spectacular new oceanfront park. Located next to the lighthouse, the park features an 18-hole miniature golf course. The pool has a wading pool, water gym for kids, lap lanes and zero-entry access—all with American Red Cross certified lifeguards. Pool concessions are available. The neighboring playground has swings, slides and benches for watching the fun.
